Shandong University CSC Scholarship: Fully Funded Study Guide

Shandong University CSC Scholarship provides international students with a funded route to degree study in China. Its reviewed Type B notice includes Chinese-taught bachelor’s study and Chinese- or English-taught master’s and doctoral programs. Its full award supports tuition, accommodation or housing allowance, living support and medical insurance. The published 2026 deadline has passed, and a 2027 degree-scholarship call was not confirmed in the November 1, 2026 review.

Choose your degree and teaching language before preparing the forms. SDU publishes separate program lists for each level, and a course appearing in the general admissions catalog must still match the scholarship notice. Spring language or preparatory admissions should not be confused with a new degree-scholarship round.

“Comparing graduate routes? Read our Nanjing University CSC Scholarship guide and check the programs, language and deadline against your own study plans.”

Shandong CSC Scholarship: current application status

  • Host: Shandong University, China.
  • Route reviewed: Chinese Government Scholarship, Type B.
  • Agency number in the notice: 10422.
  • Levels listed: bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral study.
  • Last reviewed closing date: February 6, 2026, now closed.
  • 2027 degree-scholarship deadline: not confirmed.

The official application index has newer 2027 spring language and preparatory notices, while the degree-scholarship guide reviewed is still labelled 2026. Keep those categories separate. A general admissions announcement does not establish the deadline or funding conditions for a CSC degree application.

Use the preparation period to compare courses and arrange academic records. Once a new degree-scholarship notice appears, check its level, language and application order again. The previous deadline is included here as history, not as an invitation to submit a late application.

Degree programs from SDU’s official catalogs

The current catalog files reviewed are labelled 2026–2027. The examples below help you explore your options; they do not confirm a new 2027 scholarship seat.

Chinese-taught bachelor’s examples

  • Clinical Medicine.
  • Nursing.
  • Economics and Finance.
  • International Economics and Trade.
  • Journalism.
  • Computer Science and Technology.

Consult the official bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral catalogs for every available course, campus, teaching language and duration. For the reviewed Type B route, SDU supports bachelor’s study in Chinese only, even though the general admissions catalog also lists some English-taught undergraduate courses.

Scholarship coverage and costs

The official SDU funding notice lists the full-award benefits below. Your final scholarship notice sets the approved study period and conditions.

  • Tuition: full coverage for the approved scholarship period.
  • Accommodation: free accommodation or a housing allowance.
  • Living allowance: a living allowance under the approved award.
  • Medical insurance: comprehensive coverage under the scholarship terms.

Confirm the funding category

Read the scholarship offer alongside the admission letter. Check the approved course and period of support before arranging travel. A university application, a favorable academic review or a pre-admission message is not a final CSC award.

Application payment

SDU’s reviewed Type B procedure requires an RMB 400 application fee after a pre-admission email. Once paid, it is non-refundable. Follow SDU’s own message and payment instructions, and retain the receipt.

Continuing eligibility

Scholarship recipients must participate in the annual review. The notice also restricts overlapping Chinese-government or host-institution scholarship support. Understand those conditions before accepting another funding offer.

“Preparing your medical documents? Use our CSC physical examination form guide, then check the university’s requirements for validity, signatures and stamps.”

Eligibility, language and documents

  • Non-Chinese citizenship, a valid ordinary passport and suitable health.
  • Bachelor’s: high-school qualification and age under 25.
  • Master’s: bachelor’s qualification and age under 35.
  • Doctoral: master’s qualification and age under 40.
  • Strong academic performance and the relevant course entry requirements.

Language conditions in the reviewed notice

Chinese-taught entry normally requires HSK 5 with 180 for bachelor’s, HSK 6 with 180 for master’s and HSK 6 with 210 for doctoral study. Chinese-language education courses have specific exceptions. English-taught entry lists IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80 and permitted alternatives or exemptions. Confirm your exact program’s requirements.

Documents to organize

  • CSC and SDU application forms.
  • Passport and relevant nationality evidence.
  • Degree or graduation evidence and transcripts.
  • Required language certificate or permitted exemption evidence.
  • Study or research plan.
  • Academic references where required.
  • Medical and non-criminal documentation as specified.
  • Certified translations and other program-specific evidence.
“Prepare certified records carefully. Our CSC notarization guide explains the general process, while SDU’s current degree-level checklist determines the required evidence.”

How to prepare the SDU scholarship application

  1. Wait for the confirmed degree-scholarship notice for your intake.
  2. Choose a course from the matching degree-level catalog.
  3. Complete the CSC Type B application using SDU agency number 10422 when instructed.
  4. Apply in SDU’s international student system and upload the required material.
  5. Follow the pre-admission email and application-fee instructions.
  6. Monitor both records and respond to academic review requests.

“For the wider workflow, read our CSC application guide. Keep SDU’s degree-level instructions beside you when completing the actual forms.”

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is Shandong’s 2027 CSC degree scholarship confirmed open?+

A new degree-scholarship call was not confirmed during this review. The guide inspected is for the closed 2026 round.

Did the reviewed Type B notice include bachelor’s study?+

Yes. It listed Chinese-taught bachelor’s programs alongside master’s and doctoral study. Confirm the levels again in the next intake notice.

Can I use an English-taught bachelor’s course for that route?+

That scholarship notice limited bachelor’s study to Chinese-taught programs. A general English-course listing does not remove that restriction.

Is there a universal IELTS waiver?+

No. The notice lists English tests and specific exemption routes. Your program and evidence must meet the applicable conditions.

Does a 2027 spring language notice mean CSC degree applications are open?+

No. Language, preparatory and degree-scholarship applications have different purposes. Read the notice for the exact route you intend to use.
