What are the eligibility criteria for Slovakia Scholarships for Talented Students?

  1. You should be an international student, and you should have citizenship of any country other than Slovakia.
  2. You should not usually have had permanent or temporary residence in Slovakia from January 1st, 2020, until the submission of your application.
  3. You should not usually have had any previous studies at high school or university level in Slovakia.
  4. For Bachelor's or combined Bachelor's and Master's programmes, you should have finished secondary education.
  5. For Master's degrees, you need to have obtained a first-level higher education Bachelor's degree.
  6. You need to plan to study full-time on campus in Slovakia at a chosen public Slovak higher education institution, in a program that is consistent with the Smart Specialisation Strategy of the Slovak Republic.
  7. One major selection factor is a minimum SAT score of 1100. This cannot be waived or replaced.
  8. There is no maximum age, but those under 18 years of age must provide a hand-signed confirmation from their legal guardian.
  9. You must also apply separately and be officially enrolled in the first year of a selected study programme at a Slovak public HEI.

Required Documents for Slovakia Scholarships

  1. A photocopy of your valid passport or national ID.
  2. Your formal SAT results, with a minimum of 1100.
  3. A well-crafted CV, usually based on a specialized template provided at the application phase.
  4. A letter outlining reasons for wishing to study in Slovakia, chosen subject, and future ambitions.
  5. For Bachelor's applicants your secondary school certificate high school diploma and each year's transcripts.
  6. For Master's candidates your certificate of Bachelor's degree and university transcript record of studies.
  7. If you are less than 18 years old, a hand-signed consent of your legal guardian for processing your data.
  8. An acceptance letter from a Slovak public university for your selected study program.
  9. Documents proving any temporary stay in Slovakia because of Erasmus+, academic mobility, or language professional course preparation.

How to apply for Slovakia Scholarships?

  3. You will have to verify your email address.
