What are the eligibility criteria for the University of Twente Scholarship 2026 in the Netherlands?
To be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship, you should have achieved all of the following:
- You should already have been conditionally accepted to an eligible UT master's program for the 2026/2027 academic year.
- You will require a student number.
- The scholarship process is independent of your program application.
- You should be an outstanding student, falling in the top 5 to 10 per cent of your graduating class.
- You should not be a graduate of a former UT undergraduate or graduate program.
- You should satisfy the general English language requirements, Academic IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90, with a subscore of at least 6.0 or 20 for TOEFL iBT in speaking.
- You should satisfy the requirements for getting a Dutch entry visa.
- You should not be eligible for a Dutch study loan.

How to apply for University of Twente Application Process?
- You have to apply and be selected for a Master's program at the University of Twente first. You can only apply for the scholarship after you have obtained your admission letter and student number.
- The UTS is only for non-EU/EEA countries.
- Students currently studying or having studied at the University of Twente do not qualify.
- The scholarship is not for students enrolled in a pre-master's program.
- The UTS is not applicable for Master's programmes at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation.

Round 1
- Application Opens: October 15, 2025, at 9:00 AM CET
- Application Closes: February 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM CET
Round 2
- Application Opens: February 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM CET
- Application Closes: May 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM CET
You can submit your application for a scholarship only once in the course of one round. If you are rejected in Round 1, you cannot submit an application in Round 2. You can receive only one University of Twente scholarship.
