Eligilbilty crieteria for European Union Blue Book Traineeships Program
The traineeship program is open to university graduates who meet the following criteria:
- You must have completed a 3-year higher education degree (Bachelor’s level or equivalent). You need to provide a certificate or official confirmation from your university to show you have this degree.
- Diplomas or certificates with final grades must be included in the application.
- Proof of minimum EQF 6 level.
- You should not have more than 6 weeks of work experience in any EU institution, body, agency, or delegation, with Members of the European Parliament, or Advocates General at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
- You need a very good knowledge of two EU official languages. One must be a working language (English, French, or German) at the C1 or C2 level, and the second language at least at the B2 level.
- For non-EU nationals only one procedural language is required at C1 or C2 level.
- Your main language must be an official EU language.
- Your second source language can be any official EU language with at least B2-level proficiency.
- No points are awarded for the mother tongue, and no evidence is required. If you have more than one mother tongue and want to receive points for them, you can declare these in the application and provide written evidence.
